Paura, the classic and active hardcore band from São Paulo, kicks off the era of their upcoming album—set for release in the coming months—with the single “Sarcastic Sadistic.”
The single—available on streaming platforms and YouTube starting at 1:12 PM—is, like the entire upcoming record, raw, direct, and intentionally primitive; it is crafted to confront an era in which humanity has never been more advanced in technology and science, yet remains mired in brutality.

‘Sarcastic Sadistic’ also arrives with a music video that translates sarcasm and sadism into visuals, distorting faces and compressing space.

Paura’s new album is minimalist—unpretentious. It is heavy hardcore with even more direct messages.
It follows 2023’s Karmic Punishment, which was created during a time when everyone was still trying to make sense of the post-pandemic world.
“In our view, it’s a truly primitive record. It’s much more dynamic, current, and hits exactly the mark we were aiming for,” the band comments.
