Swedish Death Metal Outfit GRAVECRAWLER Release New Album ‘NIDUS’
Death metal straight from the suburbs of Stockholm gains a dark and crushing new chapter. Swedish death metal outfit GRAVECRAWLER has officially unleashed their new album, NIDUS (released August 7th, 2026). The album represents the culmination of the band’s determination to honor the Swedish death metal scene while pulling it down to even darker, heavier depths.
The album’s atmosphere is apocalyptic, dangerous, and authentic to the core—built on the ethos that extreme metal was never meant to be safe or clean.

Path Through the Underground
Formed in Stockholm in 2019, GRAVECRAWLER wasted little time establishing their presence in the extreme music underground. The band released their debut demo, “CHAPTER I: ABOMINATIONS” in 2021, followed in short order by “CHAPTER II: BLOOD RITES” (2022) and “CHAPTER III: FALLEN KINGDOMS” (2023). That same year, they compiled their early work on “ANTHOLOGY: THE HORRORS UNLEASHED”.
With NIDUS, GRAVECRAWLER delivers an ambitious concept album that chronicles the tales of a dying world, perfectly encapsulating their twisted, harrowing vision of extreme metal.
“Drawing from the raw groove of old-school Swedish Death Metal, the icy bleakness of 90’s Black Metal, and injecting an unapologetic dose of Slam-like grime, we have built a sound that is as unpolished and visceral as it is uncompromising and raw,” states the band.
