Brazilian Thrash Metal Outfit YUTAZA Unleashes Self-Titled EP Featuring Unreleased Track “Future Song”
Formed in 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, YUTAZA brings together four veterans of the underground metal scene with a clear mission: reviving the visceral, raw energy of 1990s Thrash Metal. Drawing inspiration from heavyweights such as Pantera, Testament, Anthrax, Overkill, and Megadeth, the band blends classic influences with a modern, crushing production.
The lineup features experienced underground musicians:
- Marcos Larbos: Vocals (ex-Blockhead, Liverking)
- Martus Varela: Guitar (ex-Blockhead, The Trooper)
- Luciano Drakkon: Bass (ex-Hexensabbat)
- Marcelo Ledd: Drums (ex-Hicsos)
The Journey and the “YUTAZA” EP
YUTAZA made their official debut in May 2025 with the single “Law of Silence”, accompanied by a striking music video generated through AI. They followed up with “John Doe” and “Die for Me”, expanding their sonic footprint while maintaining the organic brutality that defines their identity.
Now, the band takes their next major step with the release of their debut self-titled EP, “YUTAZA”. The 4-track release collects their previous singles alongside the brand-new track “Future Song”. As the band continues writing their upcoming full-length album, the EP is currently available on their official YouTube channel and will land on all major digital streaming platforms on August 15th.
