Vërmës releases the EP “Banquete aos Vërmës, pra nós destino”, a direct attack of Crust Grind.
The São Paulo-based band Vërmës has officially released its new EP, titled Banquete aos Vërmës, pra nós destino. The record brings together four tracks of pure aggression, combining the speed of grindcore with the grit and attitude of crust punk.
Launched in October 2025, the project brings together notable figures from the São Paulo underground scene. The lineup features veterans of the extreme music scene: Panda Reis (drums—with stints in Oligarquia, Quilombo, Brigada do Ódio, Heresia, and Heresia 666), Germano (bass—Heresia / Heresia 666), Dave (guitar—Carne Morta), and Daniel Frederiko on vocals.
Speed, Weight, and Social Criticism
With short, direct songs that barely exceed the minute-and-a-half mark, Vërmës employs a harsh sound to fire off critiques of everyday social and political issues, tackling topics such as labor conditions and race in tracks like “Escala 6×1” and “White Pardo.”
The EP was recorded and mixed by Renato Gimenes at the Associação Cultural Sinfonia de Cães studio, ensuring an organic, raw sound that stays true to the genre’s DIY spirit.
